In addition, the charger’s Central Processing Unit (CPU) analyzes data from the battery's built-in memory chip. The DC18RA is ENERGY STAR qualified for its efficient charging process. The result is a faster battery charging cycle which means less downtime: the DC18RA will charge an 18-Volt LXT Lithium-Ion battery (model BL1830) in only 30 minutes, and an 18-Volt Compact Lithium-Ion battery (model BL1815) in only 15 minutes.
